Back to the 70s…Shop your Closet

Here is an outfit that you could easily put together with items you probably have in your closet.

I grew up in the 70s and this fringe handbag reminds me of the early 70s. Remember the suede fringe jackets and fringe moccasins? Everything was fringe back then, so when I saw this handbag at TJ Maxx, I grabbed it. It’s not available anymore, but here is another cute one from Kohl’s.

This bell sleeve top is from Loft. It’s a couple years old and not available anymore, but here is a similar one. The tie-back on this top is very cute too.

My jeans are also about 3 years old from Loft. They are modern skinny in a light denim wash. They have just the right amount of stretch in them and are super soft! Here is a link to a similar pair.

My earrings are from Target last summer – I think they are part of the SugarFix by BaubleBar line. These bright tassel earrings are everywhere now, so they should be easy to find. Here are here are a couple links.

I added a brown belt and brown suede booties to finish the look.  I have found a couple pair of cute cognac booties, here and here. This would be an easy outfit to recreate using items from your closet. I am off for a day of Christmas shopping in Bozeman this weekend. On Sunday, I am going to put up my Christmas tree. Crazy, huh! I won’t decorate until the day after Thanksgiving, I’ll just put up the lights. This is such a busy time of year, I like to get things done ahead of time, so that when December comes, I can just relax and enjoy the season!

  1. Just found your blog! Nice outfit and easy to do. And affordable… Will catch up on other posts now.
I’m also a “get the tree up early” person, love the lights at night. Or, at 5pm these days!
Bozeman, Montana? That caught my eye ’cause my husband sent me pictures from there yesterday!

    1. Loft is great. I usually only shop on their 40% or 50% sales. We live about 100 miles from Bozeman, so that’s where we go for a fun day of shopping. It’s beautiful there! Thanks for your kind comments.
