Black Striped Pencil Skirt, Over 50 Fashion, White Wrap Blouse

Black Striped Pencil Skirt

Welcome to a brand new week. This week is my birthday week! I’ll be turning 59 on Thursday. It’s hard for me to believe that I’m this close to 60, because I feel like I’m 40. Ha! I really don’t dread my birthdays, I’m just so happy that I keep having them. I count my blessings that I’m still healthy, and that my family is happy and healthy, because when it comes right down to it, that’s all the matters, right?

This skirt is one that I have had in my closet for about 3 years now. I don’t wear skirts or dresses much in the winter anymore, mostly because I hate putting on tights, and in Montana, you cannot go bare legged in the winter. This is a knit striped skirt from Loft. It’s not available anymore, but I have linked a couple similar skirts here and here. This one is a very comfortable knit, and I like that it falls right on my knees – a flattering length that covers my 59 year old knees!

The cross front blouse is one that I picked up this spring at Apricot Lane, a small boutique from a local mall. The brand is Lush. I believe Nordstrom carries this brand, but I couldn’t find the exact blouse. Here and here are a couple cute blouses. This blouse is so versitile, I will wear it year around. I can just throw a sweater or jacket over it in the fall and winter.

My leopard calf hair clutch is from Nordstrom. Here is the link.

My black espadrille sandals are a few years old as well. Here and here are some links for a couple of cute pairs.

My earrings are these filligree gold earrings from the Sugar Fix by Bauble Bar line from Target. Here are another cute pair that I may have check out next time I’m in Target. My necklace doesn’t show up very well, but it is this one from Bauble Bar.

  1. Love this chic look, perfect for a casual office at the Summertime. You can do so much with a striped pencil skirt. Love your wedges and clutch, too. =)

Welcome by Thursdays and linkup with me, fashionista. Love your style! Thanks, Ada. =)
