Favorites from 2017

I thought I would close out the year with my top blog posts and top Instagram posts from 2017. I don’t claim to be a fashionista, wearing the latest, trend setting styles, I just want to look and be the best I can be now! I also want to be comfortable, and for that reason I look for soft, knit fabrics that feel good on my skin, and let me move!

1. Pink Tie Sleeve Cardigan

This pink tie sleeve cardigan had the most clicks on the blog. Blush was a popular color this past year, and the tie sleeves update a traditional cardigan.

2. Leather and Leopard.

This outfit was an easy one to put together. I layered a faux leather moto jacket over a cold shoulder black ribbed tee. The leopard scarf makes the outfit.

3. Fair Isle Sweater

This fair Isle Sweater is one of my favorites. Perfect for our cold Montana winters. The slit sleeves update this sweater.

4. Casual Fall Shop Your Closet

This was an outfit I threw together from some older pieces I had in my closet. I added this scarf to dress up the outfit and add a bit of color.

5. Shop Your Closet – Faded Jeans and Black Cold Shoulder Top.

Can you tell I love cold shoulder tops? Three of these outfits have them. I added a pop of color with some turquoise-hued jewelry.

There you have it! I would like to thank everyone for their support of my blog since starting it last September. I am having so much fun styling outfits. I am looking forward to 2018 – I’ve got a lot to show you, and will be sharing some brand new outfit posts next week.

In the meantime, on Friday I will be showing my top 5 Instagram posts, so stay tuned for that.

Have a very happy New Year. I wish you good health and happiness for 2018!

  1. Hi, I recently found your blog and subscribed thru e-mail.
I am a early retired, empty nester mom. I enjoy seeing your daily creative ideas, especially with jeans (since that is what I live in) and soft easy tops. I also live in San Diego. Although I enjoy looking at other blogs with winter hats, coats, gloves and boots its not at all practical for sunny California. I see snow in your pictures, but your outfits have great flexibility. Please keep them coming.
In essence … I LOVE your blog!

    1. Thank you so much, Deanna! I live a pretty casual lifestyle here in Montana – even for work! I’m all about comfort at my age 🙂 but I still like a little bit of style too.
      Have a happy New Year!
