Over 50 Style

Pinterest Inspiration

I am starting a new series with this post – Pinterest Inspiration. I have a whole section on my Pinterest account with styles and outfits that I admire. I will show you the Pinterest inspiration photo and copy it as close as I can using items from my closet.

Inspiration photo

This is my inspiration photo. I’ve had this pinned for a couple years now. I love how the fur vest adds a little glam to the outfit.

I’ve had this grey long sleeve cold shoulder sweater for a couple years. The vest is about 3 years old. I get alot of wear out of this vest during the winter months in Montana. I can dress it up or down. If it’s not too cold, I’ll pair a sweater underneath and wear this instead of a coat. Neither of these items are available anymore, but I have linked some similar sweaters and fur vests below.

I’ve paired the outfit with a pair of black ponte pants from Costco. These are such great ponte pants. They are a couple years old, but are one of my favorites. They are as comfortable as leggings, but very thick and are a bit dressier than leggings. My boots were a Christmas gift last year. The brand is Chinese Laundry and I think they were from DSW. I have linked some ponte pants below. The similar link for the boots is below as well.

My statement necklace was handmade by a local artist and purchased in an antique store a few years back, but I have linked some pretty statement necklaces below.

And lastly, this oxblood faux suede tote is from Walmart! It is part of a new line they have in women’s accessories and clothing called  Time and Tru. I have gotten a couple of their sweaters in this brand and I’m happy with them. The link is below.

Thanks for reading! I’ll be back on Friday with a holiday outfit for you. I don’t claim to be a fashionista, I just like to dress as well as I can on a budget. I was able to shop my closet for everything on this look. It’s just a matter of putting some different pieces together. Pinterest, Instagram and fashion blogs are the best places to look for fashion inspiration. I would much rather see what real women wear than fashion models wearing expensive designer clothing, how about you? You can also follow me on Instagram @GracefullystyledMontana where I often show my outfit of the day. And feel free to pin any of my photos on your Pinterest pages. Have a wonderful day!
