Transitioning to Fall with Pink!

Hello everyone, welcome to September! I don’t know about you, but every September I get in an organizing mode. I like to go through every closet, drawer and cupboard in my home and clean out and organize everything. If I do this yearly, it’s so much easier to keep it organized and remember where I put things! How about you, do you get in an organizing mood this time of year?

Even though we are still having beautiful weather, the mornings and evenings are chilly – sometimes in the 40s! So I am beginning to transfer my wardrobe into fall. Our summers are so short here, so I never really get tired of my summer wardrobe like I do my winter wardrobe, so for this outfit, I kept my favorite white skinny jeans from Loft, and added a new fall sweater in a beautiful shade of fuscia. The v-neck sweater is new this year from the Nordstrom sale this summer. Unfortunately, the sweater is already sold out except for the plus sizes. Keep checking Nordstrom’s website – the sweater brand is BP. Links to the jeans are below, as well as a few alternate sweater choices.

My necklace is from Bauble Bar – it goes with everything! My earrings are from Alison & Aubrey. Alison Lumbatis is one of my favorite fashion bloggers. Her blog is called Get Your Pretty On. She and her daughter have recently started designing jewelry. Check them out! Unfortunately, the pink earrings are sold out. I’ve linked another pink pair as well as a purple pair below. My animal print wedge sandals are old – I think from TJ Maxx five or six years ago. Links to the necklace, earrings and below, as well as links for similar sandal choices.

Thanks for reading! I hope this gives you some fashion inspiration in transitioning to fall. I’m still not ready to give up everything in my summer wardrobe – especially my white jeans, so you may be seeing them into fall. I don’t claim to be an expert in fashion and you won’t see the latest trends here, but I like to share what I wear daily to work in a small town Montana newspaper. You can follow me on Instagram @gracefullystyledmontana where I try to post my outfit of the day.

Here’s to a fantastic September, everyone!

  1. You look great in that color Debbie! I’ll be looking for a fuchsia sweater to brighten up the cold , gray winter days this year. I usually organize intermittently throughout the year but especially in January when there’s not much else to do. I also try to get rid of something every time I buy something to help keep the clutter down! ☺
