Distressed Jeans, White Mixed Media Tunic

White Mixed Media Tunic & Jeans

This is a favorite top of mine – I’ve had it 2 or three years. I think it came from White House Black Market – one of my favorite places to shop.

The best part of the top is the criss-cross back. It’s not available anymore, but I have linked a couple different tops here and here.

My faded distressed jeans are by Jessica Simpson from Herbergers. Sadly, Bon Ton, the parent store of Herbergers has filed bankrupcy, so they will be going out of business. That is the only department store in the area that  I live. I’ll miss this store. They are reasonably priced with fantastic sales. Anyway, here is a link for a similar pair of faded, distressed jeans.

I recently purchased this necklace from The Jacket Society. Here is the link. If you’re not familiar with The Jacket Society, go to https://www.jacketsociety.com/about-jacket-society/ and check out her website and blog. Nora is a fashion designer and stylist, She writes a fashion blog and models the clothing she sells and designs. Everything is very reasonably priced, and you won’t find them anywhere else! I should mention that you can wear this necklace two ways – shorter like I have worn it, or as a long pendant necklace.

My sandal/booties are a couple years old from Amazon. They are by Franco Sarto, one of my favorite brands. Here and here are a couple links for similar Franco Sarto sandals.

I’m off to move my daughter into her own apartment this weekend. She has completed pharmacy school, and will graduate May 10th. She has a job lined up as a pharmacist in a long term care pharmacy. She has worked so hard to get through school, and we are extremely proud of her!

Have a great weekend, everyone! Thanks for reading. I enjoy reading your comments as well!

  1. I know you and your husband are so proud of your daughter. What an amazing accomplishment!
You mentioned you are on the lower side of your weight range. You look great! I thought I could tell before you even shared. I need to do the same thing. It would make me feel better on so many levels. How do you get motivated and what technique do you focus on to drop the pounds.

    1. Thanks, Debbie. My daughter and I both went on low carb together. Each of us didn’t want to cheat and throw each other off track! Low carb is easiest for me, because after awhile you lose your sugar and carb cravings. We ate lots of salads, chicken, fish and even beef. Haven’t had a whole lot of time to exercise, but I expect when she moves, I’ll have some extra time and be looking for something to do. And now our weather is finally beautiful, so it will be nice to get outside and walk!
