Good Morning and Happy Friday! Since summer finally came to Montana (July 5th), we have had a good six weeks of weather in the high 80s and into the 90s with hardly any rain at all! My office is not air conditioned, and although it stays cool in the mornings, by around 3 p.m. it gets hot, so I have to make sure I dress for the heat.
These wide leg cropped pants are new this year on sale from Loft. They are a comfy knit fabric, and it feels like I’m wearing my pajamas! The link is below – they come in this grey color as well as black.
The white sleeveless sweater tunic is about 5 years old from White House Black Market, but it remains one of my favorites for summer. The cut is flattering and I really like the longer tunic length. This isn’t available anymore, but I have linked a couple cute white tops below.
To add a pop of color, I added my cranberry red Michael Kohrs handbag. There are a couple similar bags linked below.
I layered two pearl and gold necklaces – they are both old from WHBM as well. Here are some similar choices.
My black cage wedges complete the outfit. These are several years old from DSW, but below I’ve linked some cute shoes that would work great.
Hope you have some great plans for the weekend! The summer is going so fast I can hardly keep up. School will be starting here the last week of August, and my sweet grandson will be here this weekend and will be enrolled in our school system. I can’t wait to have them close again. We are planning on weekly family dinners so I’m perusing Pinterest for some new recipe ideas!
Just want to show you a couple other projects I’ve been working on. As I’ve mentioned before, a friend and I have a little business painting and refinishing old furniture pieces. Our business is called Montana Grace. Here are a couple pieces I recently painted – they are on consignment in one of our local stores. This is a great creative outlet for me – it’s fun to come up with a new paint technique that fits each piece of furniture.
Thanks again for reading. I appreciate everyone who reads my blog and I love to read your comments. I hope I have given you some inspiration!
