Have any of you fashionistas out there ever watched the series Velvet on Netflix? It’s a Spanish television series about a fashion house in Spain in the 1950s. I can’t quit watching it. The wardrobes are beautiful! It is a mix of 50s fashion, an upstairs/downstairs love story, and it all takes place in a high end department store in Spain. If you don’t mind subtitles and love fashion, you will love this series. I think there are four seasons of this show, and I just started watching Season 1. I can’t stop!
I have a love of white sweaters and blouses. They are easy to accessorize with jewelry and scarves. I think white looks great close to the face. That’s another reason I love any kind of pearl jewelry. It’s flattering to the skintone.
This sweater was purchased from an outlet store in Minneapolis called Optiz. They sell deeply discounted name brand merchandise. This is a Loft sweater purchased at Opitz for $15. A great buy! It’s not online, but here and here are similar sweaters that are very cute!
I styled it first with a pearl cluster necklace and simple pearl earrings. My necklace is not available online, but here is a similar choice.
Since I wore these burgundy skinny jeans from Loft, I added a burgundy plaid scarf. This was on sale at a recent trip to Francesca’s for only $6. A bargain! Here and here are a couple similar scarves.
My skinny jeans are from Loft this winter. Here is a link. I added my burgundy booties from DSW. They aren’t available anymore, but here is a link to a similar pair. I have a lot of clothing items with burgundy in them, and have gotten a lot of wear from these booties this year.
